Overview:
The role is part of the Business Services Digital team within a global banking and markets IT division, delivering IT solutions and support for business services.
Responsibilities:
Maintain a delivery-oriented approach to developing applications and their supporting software and data infrastructure.
Manage software releases and provide ongoing support for existing systems.
Work independently and collaboratively to design, develop, test, and implement web-based applications.
Promote and contribute to best development practices.
Mentor team members by providing guidance and knowledge sharing.
Deliver well-structured, maintainable, and fully tested systems within deadlines and budget.
Follow internal risk-based project management and development methodologies.
Drive productivity and quality improvement initiatives.
Manage and coordinate software releases through to production.
Key Requirements:
Proven experience in delivering web applications.
Expertise in front-end development with a focus on rich user interfaces.
Excellent knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and CSS preprocessors (e.g., SASS, Less).
Strong proficiency in React.JS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
Experience with front-end testing frameworks such as Jest and Testing Library React.
Ability to create pixel-perfect UI based on design specifications.
Experience designing responsive GUIs for both desktop and mobile platforms.
Solid understanding of accessibility and cross-browser compatibility standards.
Familiarity with data marshalling/de-marshalling using JSON and XML.
Nice to Have:
Experience working with Git and IDEs such as IntelliJ or VSCode.
Knowledge of responsive web design techniques.
Familiarity with Node.js and Express.js.
